Admissions

Although we address the emotional and mental consequences of sexual addiction, Begin Again Institute is not an inpatient treatment facility. Individuals who need treatment for complex medical or psychiatric conditions need specialized mental health treatment at facilities more geared to their needs.

For this reason, individuals interested in entering treatment at the Begin Again Institute must meet the following criteria to qualify:

• We are currently only accepting men for our  14-Day Intensives, 14-Day Christian Intensives and  28-Day Residential Program.
• Any co-occurring mental or behavioral health conditions (for example, depression, anxiety disorder, PTSD, or any substance use disorder) must be stable and adequately managed by the patient’s own physician prior to entering treatment in one of our 14-Day Intensives.
• Staff for our 14-Day Intensives will not administer medications; however, all 14-Day Intensive clients will be able to take any medically necessary medications prescribed to them. All medications must be discussed with staff prior to admission.
• If a client is suffering from any co-occurring mental or behavioral health conditions alongside their primary concern of sexual addiction, they would be considered for our 28-Day Residential Program.
• Any co-occurring psychiatric condition must be stable and adequately managed by the client’s own psychiatrist or primary care physician prior to entering treatment.
• Clients must not be a harm to themselves or others.
• Clients must have no legal proceedings against them pertaining to sexual offending behaviors, sexual assaults or sexual abuse, and must have no history of viewing, possessing, or distributing child pornography.
• Clients must be motivated about recovery. This means an individual must be willing to commit to and participate in all on-site therapeutic
  recommendations, activities, and educational sessions.
