Young Sang Ryu

Primary Therapist

Young is no stranger to the feeling of wanting to “come home.” Young has searched far and wide, willing to do what it takes to find a place he belongs, even if his search required sacrificing his heart. Somewhere down his quest, he lost the ability to choose and felt his life amounted to a list of daily obligations. Eventually, he ran out of gas, with a dashboard filled with warnings. Taking himself to therapy and committing to recovery, Young began to see colors in his life. His new journey of homecoming looked less like striving and achieving and more like being. Living in the growing fruits of his labor and grateful for the help he had received, he seeks to give back what he has been generously given by others as a mental health therapist.

Young is a firm believer that every person has the capacity to heal, when there is honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness. He brings his experience, strength, and hope to help you feel that all parts of your life and identity belong together in harmony. If you are willing to go there, Young is there to stay by your side.

Young graduated from Dartmouth College in 2015 with B.A. in Human Biology. He obtained an M.S. in Human Nutrition from Columbia University Medical Center in 2016 and an M.A. in Clinical Mental Health from Liberty University in 2025.
