Our Men’s 14-Day Intensives are designed for healing 24 hours a day, whether in intensive group therapy, hiking the Flat Irons, or over conversation at the dinner table. We can take up to 12 men per intensive who live together in community with the common goal of finding lasting healing and sustainable recovery.
The 14-day program is highly tuned to respond appropriately and compassionately to gender-specific barriers to recovery. Key considerations in working with our men include male socialization, expressing vulnerability and anger, exposure to sexuality and erotic images at a young age, and misunderstanding abuse and trauma as discipline or a normal part of childhood.
The closed group model allows for our clients to engage each other initially on a surface level, then eventually move into a more meaningful connection. For the first time in their lives, some of our men are allowed to engage in a truly vulnerable and intimate space within themselves and with others. It’s in this place that true healing can finally occur.
We also offer a Partner Support Program (PSP) that runs simultaneously with the Men’s 14-Day Intensive and is reserved solely for the partners of the men in this program.
The PSP is entirely virtual and facilitated by a betrayal trauma specialist to help women navigate an understanding of their trauma of betrayal, anger, fear, shame, and how to move forward. It offers safety in community, tools for true healing and forgiveness, and hope for the future.
